Quill is a daring and provocative silhouette, inspired by the Porcupine Quill earrings Leane made for the 2003 Alexander McQueen show, Irere. Spiked quills of yellow gold, gather and fire out in a glistening apparel, enclosing the wrist as a sensual bracelet, with a clasp fastening for different sizes. Quill’s curves capture the light, drawing attention the piece. The perception is a considered one, each quill appearing to glide across the skin in a sensuous movement. The meticulous placement of each Quill creates a quiet undulation, with a reverberating, underlying rhythm to the silhouette.
